1 The Roca brand was established in Barcelona in 1917 as a family business under the name Compania Roca Radiadores S. A. which manufactured cast- iron radiators and boilers. The company‘s initial success led to the expansion of its production and product range. In 1925, the first cast-iron bathtubs were made, and 15 years later the company began to focus on sanitary tiles. Over the years, Roca broadened its offering to include armatures, air-conditioning technology, and even ceramic tiles as of 1980. Today, Roca‘s wide collection includes not only a complete assortment of sanitary tiles ceramics, bathtubs, shower cabins, whirlpools, saunas, fittings, and tiles, but also kitchen facilities. In August 1999, Roca added the production of its largest European competitor, the Swiss company Laufen, to its portfolio and today it is one of the largest producers of sanitary ceramics. The international certificate ISO 9001 on observing quality and a certificate of quality for all markets, on which Roca operates, document the high quality of Roca’s products. Roca products excel not only for their high utility, but primarily for their original fresh design and clean shapes and lines.
