what’s news Roca Galleries The new window display surprises once again with a fleet of ships After the success of the vintage car presented in the first half of the year, the second window display of 2018 was inaugurated, made up of a fleet of three ships: a yacht, a warship and a merchant vessel, all of them created with Roca products. “Voyage to a sea of possibilities” represented the endless options offered by Roca products, which are an example of innovation, well-being, technology and design. Some of the products used to prepare the staging were different faucets, mixers and shower-heads: the Carmen and Loft twin-lever mixers for bath and shower, the Raindream shower-head, the Stella hand-shower, the Avant deck-mounted self-closing faucet, the L90 single- lever mixer for basin and the Victoria thermostatic shower column. With these interventions, the window display of the Roca Madrid Gallery on José Abascal Street has become a reference point in the city, which showcases the most iconic and innovative products of the brand in a creative, visual and unique way. “Urban Regeneration” presents a selection of projects from EMBT The exhibition «Urban Regeneration – Travelling around the world» is a journey through the international projects of the architectural firm Miralles Tagliabue EMBT, which show innovative ideas on urban regeneration in Europe, Asia and Russia. Founded by Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue in 1994, the firm, with headquarters in Barcelona, is internationally renowned for works such as the Santa Caterina Market in Barcelona, the Scottish Parliament and different projects in public spaces in Hamburg. Organized by Roca, Miralles Tagliabue EMBT and the Fundació Enric Miralles, the exhibition presents a type of architecture that is committed to public spaces, engaged in the creation of better cities in order to have better lives. Each project takes into account context, history, users and their culture, being a synthesis of architecture and nature, in an attempt to naturalize urban life. By means of mockups, blueprints and photographs, the exhibition summarizes the production of Miralles Tagliabue EMBT since its beginnings, focused on urban planning and on urban regeneration projects, such as parks, interventions in public spaces and transformation of urban areas. 18
