15 2017 Roca Gallery Kengo Kuma recaps his career at the Roca London Gallery “Face to face with memory” was the central theme of the conference, organised as part of the London Festival of Architecture Roca London Gallery participated in the London Festival of Architecture 2017, which this year was based around the theme of memory. Under the title “Face to face with memory”, on 6 June a talk was held which included the participation of the renowned Japanese architect, writer and professor Kengo Kuma and Stuart Wood of Heatherwick Studio, the prolific architectural and design firm, who were introduced by the critic and writer Clare Farrow. Following the theme of the festival, Kengo Kuma spoke about the role of memory in his work, while Stuart Wood presented various projects of the studio related to this topic. Among the numerous members of the audience were representatives of renowned architectural firms such as Foster & Partners, GA Design, Zaha Hadid Architects, as well as journalists from various specialist and general media outlets such as Dezeen and CNN. Kengo Kuma also signed copies of his latest book Small Architecture, Natural Architecture. 21
