what’s news Roca Gallery The new display of the Roca Madrid Gallery commemorates Roca’s centenary Under the name “The Roca encyclopaedia”,throughout the year it will show some of the most significant events in the brand’s history Roca Madrid Gallery is celebrating the company’s 100th anniversary with the display “La enciclopedia Roca” (The Roca encyclopaedia), a dynamic project that evolves over the course of the year. Under this idea, conceptualised by CuldeSac, the history and successes of the brand are set out in ten large-format books grouped into three blocks: history, product and values. The title of each volume defines a key moment for the company, such as origins, technology, sustainability and commitment or design, among others. The first display, unveiled in January, presented Roca’s origins through the first product that was produced, a cast iron radiator from 1917, the year the company was founded. At the centre is a book hanging from the ceiling, from which letters and some of Roca’s products are falling, filling up one of Roca’s most iconic pieces, the cast iron bathtub. Finally, the book Diseño (Design) contains drafts, tools and materials of this discipline symbolising the company’s constant desire to explore new technologies and continue to innovate. 22
