15 2017 Ma Yansong has used audio-visual creation which acts as a second skin of the building; a skin which is in constant motion and which unites the interior with the exterior in a surprising manner The basis of these audio-visual effects is water, which is in constant combination with other climatic elements such as the sun, clouds, ice, snow, rain and even the moon and rainbows, so that the sky of Beijing is recreated every day inside the building of the Gallery, establishing a direct link with the city’s climate. It is a building that confirms Roca’s desire to continue with its international strategy, based not only on the product and on innovation, but on knowledge and culture. This new space of 850 m2, designed by the Chinese architect Ma Yansong, now forms part of the international network of Galleries that are present in Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, London and Shanghai. Following the concept of the rest of the Roca Galleries, the Roca Beijing Gallery has been designed as a centre for the expansion of knowledge and culture related to the world of architecture, technology, innovation, sustainability and design, and as an innovative showroom of Roca’s products and collections. Furthermore, it is configured as a meeting point for professionals of these sectors. 9
